Yes!! Viz announced the Hello Kitty comic I’m in!

“Viz has just announced that they will be producing original comics based on legendary character Hello Kitty. They will publish a series of several graphic novels, as well as a special-edition comic.
The comic book, which features a cover by Eisner-nominated Jacob Chabot (“SpongeBob Comics”, “Strange Tales”), will launch at 2013, San Diego Comic Con. It will feature art by Chabot, Victoria Maderna, Ian McGinty. The graphic novels, which will start in the Fall with “Here We Go!”, are described as “a collection of comic stories about Hello Kitty’s travels.”
An interesting feature of these comics? They are silent.
Beth Kawasaki, VIZ Media Senior Editorial Director, said in a press release:
“The new wordless comic and graphic novel series will appeal to Hello Kitty fans of all ages. VIZ Media is having a blast creating the fun new original series and we can’t wait for everyone to see the books.”
The market for licensed kid’s comics is currently booming, with such titles as “My Little Pony” from IDW and “Adventure Time” from BOOM! incredibly popular. Will Hello Kitty be a hit in the comic book market? Well, judging from her enduring international appeal, the ageless feline certainly has a good shot.”

Some process stuff here, basically what I’m doing is tightening up my “CHOMP!” thumbnails to mail off to Chris (Top Shelf) for approval. I light box the rough version to be more clear and easier to read. It takes a long time, is counter productive and is not in BUT they look cool so screw it.
